About C-4 Canine Academy
Tom Severs, owner and head trainer of C4 Canine Academy, has been training dogs for more than 15 years. Our company specializes in training huskies, but we can train any breed of dog, no matter the age of the dog and no matter the problem the dog has. We currently have a personal service dog, trained by Tom himself, as well as a service dog in training that was adopted from our local animal shelter. (Both huskies of course!) If you live in Fulshear, Katy, or Richmond, you may see us or have seen us out and about with both dogs! Feel free to stop and say hello anytime!
Currently we do in-home training, meaning we come to you, but we will also accommodate if you would like to meet somewhere to do training, such as a dog park or forest preserve. Our service area is within 50 miles of Fulshear, TX, but we will go farther if needed for an additional fee. We also do board and trains for two weeks at a time if necessary for your dog. C4's belief is that there are no bad dogs and no un-trainable dogs. Every dog is different and may come with their own set of unique quirks or behavior issues, but they can be helped! We use any training tools we need to get the job done. Our training is specific for you and your dog, which is why the consultation and evaluation is necessary for all clients. Our training is adaptive to you and your dog's needs. When we help you and your dog, we aim to create the least amount of stress possible for you and your dog, no matter how long that may take. This is also why we do in-home training; it's best to train your dog in a familiar environment, and you won't have to re-train your dog at home with everything you learned somewhere else! Every dog will learn at their own pace as well and our training will adjust to your dog's pace and needs.
Our goal at C4 Canine Academy is to provide you with your perfect K-9 companion. Your dog should fit your lifestyle and be the dog you want them to be. We will provide you with the tools and techniques you need, teach you about your dog specifically, and help you understand your dog and their needs. LeeLoo, Tom’s amazing female husky and one of Toki’s other buddies, who we were convinced knew perfect English. Sadly, she passed away from cancer in May of 2020 at 12 years old.
